Wow, that’s weird… While most of us believed that the Euro edition of the 10th Generation Corolla (available only as a sedan as the hatchback versions are named Auris) would be based on the Japanese version, Toyota totally surprised us by basing it on the Chinese edition! As we noted a few days ago on our post concerning the Chinese edition, Toyota replicated the front and rear end of your usual Camry on Japanese spec, 10th generation Corolla Sedan. Have to admit though that it does look much better than the Japanese Corolla.
Anyway, according to Toyota’s press release, the 10th generation Corolla will make its European premiere at Helsinki Motor Show (November 30 th to December 3rd 2006. It will be available two diesel engines, two petrol engines and three transmissions. No word out yet though on the US version.
